Dr. Girish N S is a distinguished Consultant and the Head of the Department of Nephrology at Manipal Hospitals, Hebbal, Bangalore. With a decade of experience (2012-2022) as a Consultant Nephrologist and Transplant Physician in both India and the United Kingdom, Dr. Girish has established himself as a leading expert in kidney transplantation. Notably, he performed the first interhospital swap kidney transplantation in South India in 2018.

Dr. Girish's academic journey is marked by excellence, having earned a Gold Medal for securing the highest marks in General Medicine in his Final MBBS in May 2001. He also achieved distinctions in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, and Microbiology during his I and II MBBS, and ranked 19th in the state during his 1st MBBS. His dedication to medical research and education is further highlighted by winning the 2nd prize for his presentation on universal precautions for handling HIV-positive patients and the 3rd prize for his presentation on the use of ultrasound in obstetrics at intercollegiate meets in May 2001.
